Ultrasonic Antifouling Systems
Less marine growth. Less cleaning. More time on the water.
Marine growth adds drag, affects boat performance, and makes routine maintenance more demanding. Sonihull Go uses ultrasonic technology to help protect hulls, drives, tanks, and cooling systems from biofouling, reducing buildup before it becomes a bigger problem.
Available in Duo and Quad configurations, Sonihull Go provides continuous protection without adding antifouling chemicals or biocides to the water.
Help Keep Your Boat Cleaner and More Efficient
From a thin layer of slime to established marine growth, fouling can affect how your boat moves through the water and how its systems operate. Sonihull Go works continuously while powered, helping reduce the conditions that allow growth to take hold.
Benefits include:
- Reduced cleaning and maintenance: Help limit biofouling buildup on protected surfaces.
- Support for vessel efficiency: A cleaner hull helps reduce fouling-related drag and its effect on fuel consumption.
- Protection beyond the hull: Suitable applications include drives, tanks, cooling systems, keel coolers, and pipework.
- Antifouling without added biocides: The system uses ultrasound rather than releasing chemicals to control growth.
- Low-maintenance operation: Continuous ultrasonic protection works in the background while you enjoy your boat.
How Sonihull Go Works
Biofouling begins with microscopic organisms that form a film on underwater surfaces. This biofilm helps create conditions where larger organisms can settle and grow.
Sonihull Go uses transducers to transmit ultrasonic energy through the protected structure, creating microscopic agitation at the surface. This activity helps disrupt the microorganisms that form biofilm, making the surface less inviting to further marine growth.
By targeting the early stages of fouling, Sonihull Go helps keep protected surfaces cleaner over time.
Choose Your Sonihull Go System
Sonihull Go is available with two or four transducers. The right configuration depends on your vessel’s size, construction, and the areas you want to protect.
Both models include undervoltage, overvoltage, and reverse-polarity protection.
Plan Protection Around Your Boat
Effective ultrasonic protection starts with proper transducer placement. Hull material, construction, joins, welds, and stringers can affect how ultrasound travels through the structure.
As a general guide, each transducer covers a circular area approximately 5–6 meters in diameter. Actual coverage and the number of transducers required depend on the installation.
Whether you own a powerboat, sailboat or catamaran, share your boat’s specifications with Separation Equipment Company to discuss system selection and placement requirements.
